Please enter before the day of the show! You may pay the day of the show with no post entry fee if you have pre-registered either by mail or by phone. Post entries must be made by 7:30 am. All others must be made at least 3 classes prior to the class you wish to enter.
· We strongly encourage you to turn in a 4-H record book. Special incentives will be awarded.
· Record book score will determine tiebreakers for high point.
· Fitting and Showing is MANDATORY for all riders.
· Fitting and Showing Senior winner will compete at the West Valley Fair Round Robin. Winners are required to bring a horse. Winners will need to be on the fairgrounds at 12:30 on the day of the Round Robin (because of scheduling the Round Robin may be moved to an earlier time).
· Bareback classes - no chaps to be worn.
· Helmets: All 4-H riders must wear an approved helmet at all times while mounted - NO EXCEPTIONS.
· The decisions of the judge are final.
· Classes with fewer than 3 entries will be combined and classes with more then 15 entries will be split.
· This show will be operated in accordance with Yakima County Rules and Regulations as contained in EM-4753, "Rules for Performance Horse."
· Concession stand will open at 8:00 am.
· Parent classes: $2.00 entry fee.
· If there is any rider with a special need please contact show management.
Class Explanations:
High Point: There will be three High Point awards, (Senior, Intermediate, Junior, and Pony/Pet Pony). Classes used to determine High Point will be: Fitting and Showing, Trail, and your choice of 1 equitation and 1 pleasure class. You must mark your choice classes on your entry form.
Walk/Trot: Can be ridden by first year riders of any age. No cross entries into classes that lope.
Dollar Bill Race: A piece of paper (4 1/2" by 2") will
be placed under rider's knee while you walk, trot, and lope.
